Strengthening inclusion and joy in sports clubs in Europe

The JOY in SPORTS – Strengthening inclusion and joy in sports clubs in Europe, project aims to:

Promote inclusion, enthusiasm and joy in sports for children in Europe by developing coaches- to-children and children-to-children tools.

Encourage participation in sports and increase physical activity by deploying art-based tools to combat bullying, racism, discrimination and intolerance in sports.

Ensure that these tools are used beyond the project consortium,including encouraging municipalities to introduce inclusion promotion standards.

The project will be carried out over 36 months and will involve five (5) work packages (WP) targeting to four (4) main objectives:

Art-Integrated Tools

To understand what methods exist for the development of practical, art-based tools combined with physical exercises for people working with children in sports.

Group Belonging

To complement the knowledge, skills and education to increase the children experience of belonging to a group.

Sports Participation

To encourage the participation in and adherence to sports and physical activities to increase the physical activity, health and wellbeing for all children while decreasing the drop-out rate and.

Community Strength

To strengthen the ties between sports organisations, clubs, athletes, children, parents and everyone involved in sports.
